Last day of School

Here's Hailey on her last day of Kindergarten. She really enjoyed school and loved her teacher Mrs. Thomas. One of the big things they did from Jan-May was each kid was supposed to read 100 at home. Along the way they got small prizes (an eraser, a bookmark, a book, a pizza coupon) and at the end they had a pizza party at Brooklyn's playground (which was the another event that made my birthday very busy). Hailey worked really hard at reading her books. I'm proud of how far she has progressed through the year.

 

Hailey had two main friends at school, Madeline and Kaylee. A week before school ended, we found out that Kaylee also walks home from school and so we started walking together. Her mom was very nice and easy to talk with. We even had about 3 play date together at the playground. Her mom shared a lot of personal information with me and I have wondered why we got to know each other at that time when they was no way the relationship could continue. We were moving and Kaylee stays with her dad in the summer so we really only had one week. I wondered if I was supposed to be more of a missionary to her. But what I believe is that even though I wasn't sharing my religion with her, I was just supposed to be a good example to her. She was telling me how hard it is for her to be without Kaylee for the whole summer and I thought she could really use some visiting teachers to help befriend her. It was a very interesting experience that I'm grateful that it occurred.

Soccer's Final Game

Robert really likes soccer and is pretty good about trying to get the ball. Playing soccer makes him happy.

 

 Robert was taking pictures while Hailey and I were on the soccer field. We played the same team from our first game.  They were still better then us. We had fun and I'm glad I was Hailey's coach but I'm also glad that's it's over.

Cereal

I wait until my kids are 6 months before I start giving them solid foods. I notice that I'm not consistent with feeding them until 9-12 months because nursing to be is easier then trying to spoon feed which last 10 minutes or so. Today Hannah was my  big helper with Rachel. I got busy with something else and Hannah just took the initiative.

Soccer Game #5

I feel bad that I haven't been too good about blogging recently it's now September and I'm trying to remember things that happened early May. These are soccer game pictures from our 5th game. I forgot my camera during Robert's game but had Nathan take pictures of Hailey's game. I think we did pretty good this time and Hailey even kicked the ball for a little ways (for the first time). Hailey is not the most active player in soccer. It's just not her game but she did try and now we know to just focus on dance with her.

Audrey's birthday

My birthday was a very busy day. I had two dance classes to take the kids to, I had our last soccer practice to do, and needed to pick up their trophies and pictures that day. Hannah had a short early nap and wouldn't sleep at her usual time so I went to the mall to pick up the trophies around 2:00pm. Right as we got to the car to head home, I was lifting Hannah into her seat and she just went limb and into a seizure. I'm so glad it didn't happen two minutes earlier while she was running in the parking lot beside us because me hands were completely full and I wouldn't be able to catch her. I took her to the doctor earlier today and found out that she had an ear infection so I knew a seizure was going to come soon. The hardest thing about the seizures is that there is no warning. I can guess that she might have a seizure on a certain day but not the hour or minutes before it happens.

 

So with all that, we didn't celebrate my birthday until 7:30 that night. Nathan got me a Boston creme cake which was very tasty.

 Hailey's gift is a hug.

Nathan got me two electric blankets, one for the bed and one as a throw blanket. They will be used often in Wyoming.

Little Girls

Here's sweet little Rachel at about 5 months old. She's a very happy baby who is learning how to roll over.

 Here's some pictures of Hailey and Hannah taken on Mother's Day. I had a very nice Mother's Day. All I wanted was a nap, so while I took my nap, Nathan and the kids cleaned up downstairs. I felt very loved that day and I'm so happy to be a mom of four wonderful children.

 

 Here's Hannah bonding with Rachel. Hannah likes Rachel sometimes and at other times, she is very jealous and wants to be the baby instead.

Dr. Nathan Clements

Nathan graduated May 5th with his Doctorate of Arts in Mathematics. We are very proud of him and had a little party afterwards. Nathan's parents, Zeke, Emmie and Josh, Darlene and her family, and Nathan's childhood friend, Rachel and her family all came. He worked really hard to have his thesis completed for graduation. It was our hardest semester yet but well worth the sacrifice to be done with school. Nathan has a job lined up with the University of Wyoming in Laramie as a lecturer with the assignment to coordinate the calculus program.
