This summer Nathan had a month off (besides studying for tests), so we decided to visit my parents. Now driving at least 16 hours with kids is not easy so we tried doing the driving at night to see if that helps.
They took a long nap and didn't wake up until almost 6:00pm (that day was our Pioneer Parade which I will blog about later, sorry things will be out of order a little) So we didn't have dinner until 8:00pm. After letting them play outside for a while, we started our night time routine and instead of putting them in bed they went straight to the car. We finally left around 10:30pm. Robert was asleep in no time and Hailey talked to
Lambie for a half hour then fell asleep.

Nathan drove the first 2 1/2 hours and then I drove. Around 4:00am, Hailey was uncomfortable and kept waking up. Robert however, was a good sleeper for the majority of the trip.

After many stops, we finally arrived at my parent's house at 7:00pm. We were all thankful to be out of the car even though the kids we overall really good. We're glad we left at night but it also makes it very hard on the drivers.
